About Lea
Hi, I’m Lea
Read about my background, how I became a body therapist and what matters to me in our sessions.
My Professional Background
I am a Totum-trained Body Therapist and hold a Danish Professional Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Health.
My professional background has given me a broad understanding of the body and of how physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are connected. In my work, I draw on both my training in body therapy and my health-science background, and I am particularly interested in the relationship between body and mind.
I bring my professional background with me while remaining open to what matters to you.
When I Meet You
You do not need to have a complete explanation for what you are feeling when you arrive. I listen to what you tell me and ask questions as we go.
I use my professional knowledge, my hands and my intuition in my work. If I share a thought or an impression, we explore together whether it makes sense to you.
Sometimes there is more conversation and at other times more silence. I make space for both.
Good contact and trust matter to me. I do not believe that one approach suits everyone, and I cannot help everyone.
My own experiences help shape the way I meet other people.
My Path into Body Therapy
A few years ago, I experienced a postnatal reaction after the birth of my daughter. I found it difficult to feel myself, was often absent from my own body and felt far away from myself.
I also know anxiety personally and how much it can take over and limit your life.
I sought help in different places. Through body therapy, I gradually experienced a stronger connection with my body, my emotions and my own sense of what was happening inside me. It was not a quick solution, but it was an important part of my own process.
That experience sparked my interest in body-based work and became part of my path into body therapy.
Today, I value following the small and large changes that can emerge in this work. It may be a physical sensation that changes or an insight that becomes clearer.
My own story does not mean that I know what it is like to be you. It has given me respect for what we can carry with us as human beings. I bring that respect into my sessions.
